Happy Birthday Pelican Joe’s Donuts!!  At the conclusion of the 2004 State Fair of Virginia, at the original fairground location off of Laburnum Avenue, our fearless leader made a deal to purchase the equipment from the vendor who had provided the soy and wheat flower mini-donuts for more than ten years after he announced that he would not be returning in 2005.  On that day, Pelican Joe’s Donuts was born! The 2025 State Fair of Virginia marks 20 years of operation, still only at the State Fair of Virginia.  Come by and say “Hi” and “Happy Birthday” to the team.  Many have been with Pelican Joe’s Donuts since the beginning and LOVE meeting you, talking with you and bringing you one of the mosty tasty treats that can be found at the State Fair of Virginia!  No Price Increase: With the current state of the economy, EVERY cost that Pelican Joe’s Donuts has, to make and deliver these incredible donuts to you, has increased.  Some by as much as 40%!  Since this is the only event that we do, and profit is not our motivation, we will NOT be raising any prices this year.  Please stop by to see what many fairgoers have called “The Best Value at the State Fair of Virginia!”. Pelican Joe’s Donuts T-shirts: Each year we receive requests from our friends to buy the T-shirt that our Pelican Joe’s Donuts teammates wear.  In the past, we have been unable to satisfy this request.  Last year we received permission to sell a limited number of Pelican Joe’s Donuts T-shirts. Stop by to see the shirts and colors that we have available for sale when you get your donuts!
